Dangerous goods management level II

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE TRAINING CONTENT

The training will cover the following points:

  • The IMDG code;
  • The IMSBC code;
  • The IGC code;
  • Port police regulations;
  • Visit to the storage and handling site of dangerous goods at the port of Abidjan

 

Expected Results:

At the end of the seminar, the auditors will be able to:

  • Know hazardous materials, their classification, and the associated risks;
  • Implement the international and national regulations governing the transport of hazardous materials;
  • Improve emergency plans in the event of a major accident involving hazardous materials and participate in the implementation of these plans;
  • Master the operations related to the management of dangerous goods;
  • Control compliance by ships and all stakeholders with the requirements for the transport and handling of dangerous goods.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

This training is organized for Port Officers / personnel in charge of dangerous goods management in the ports of countries eligible for the SAFE PORT Project:

  • Ivory Coast (2), Cape Verde (2), Gambia (2), Guinea (2), Guinea-Bissau (2), Liberia (2), Nigeria (2), Sierra Leone (2), Mauritania (2), Gabon (2), Mozambique (2) and Angola (2);
  • AGPAOC (1)

A total of 25 participants.
