OFFICIAL VISITS TO THE REGIONAL ACADEMY OF MARINE SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY

MINISTERE DES TRANSPORTS DE LA MARINE MARCHANDE ET DE LA MER DU GABON /SOCIETE NAVALE DE LA GUINEE

On Wednesday, January 30, 2024, the Director General of the Regional Academy of Maritime Sciences and Techniques – ARSTM received two delegations from Gabon and Guinea, both member states of the ARSTM Board of Directors.

The first delegation, from Gabon, comprised the Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport 𝐌. 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐍𝐙𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐒𝐈-𝐃𝐈𝐎𝐒𝐒𝐄 and the Director General of the Merchant Navy 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐀 𝐋𝐮𝐝𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐜, visited the teaching facilities and equipment.

This was followed by exchanges with the General Management on training opportunities for Merchant Navy Directorate agents at the various ARSTM schools. They also met with all the Gabonese students enrolled.


The second delegation, from 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞́𝐭𝐞́ 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞́𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞 and made up of 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐮𝐫 𝐆𝐞́𝐧𝐞́𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐝𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭, Mr Aboubacar NABA and 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 M. CISSE Malick was received by ARSTM General Manager Colonel Karim COULIBALY.
The delegation had an exchange meeting with the School Directors, the Schooling Department, the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department and the Communication Department, in order to take stock of their agents’ schooling and the possibility of organizing continuing training for its staff

The delegation then spent some time talking to the staff members who have been registered with ARSTM since last year.

As a reminder, for this academic year, ARSTM has 23 Gabonese students and 09 Guinean students enrolled in the various streams at 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞́𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐄𝐒𝐍), the 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞́𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 (ESTM) and the Institut de Sécurité Maritime Interrégional – ISMI.
