The Regional Academy of Marine Sciences and Technology (ARSTM) is the regional training institution for the 15 French-speaking countries of West and Central Africa in the following fields: Maritime Transport, Logistics, Ports, Fisheries, Industries, Maritime Safety, and Security.

It includes two higher education schools, a training center, a strategic training institute, and a research center, namely:

  • The Higher School of Maritime Transport (ESTM)

  • The Higher School of Navigation (ESN)

  • The Maritime Teaching and Learning Center (CEAM)

  • The Interregional Maritime Security Institute (ISMI)

  • The Maritime, Port, and Logistics Research Center (CREMPOL)

MISSION OF ISMI

Train and strengthen the capacities of civilian and military personnel from the administrations of the Gulf of Guinea states with maritime responsibilities.
As well as personnel from the Yaoundé security architecture (CIC, CRESM, CMC).

TARGET AUDIENCE

The administrations of the Gulf of Guinea states, French-speaking, English-speaking, and Portuguese-speaking, with maritime responsibilities:

  • Maritime Prefectures
  • Police and Customs
  • Maritime and Fisheries Administration
  • Administration in charge of the Marine Environment
  • Administration in charge of Hydrocarbons
  • Judicial personnel and legal experts involved in maritime affairs
