GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF TRAINING CONTENT

Training will cover the following points

  • Regulations and principles of safety inspections;
  • Assessment tools ;
  • On-site safety surveys;
  • Safety assessment documents;
  • Visiting a port facility and carrying out a practical risk assessment.

 

Expected results:

At the end of the seminar, auditors will be able to:

  • Manage and improve security plans (internal and external);
  • Understand the risk potential of port facilities;
  • Conduct a risk self-assessment;
  • Improve screening measures;
  • Improve passive site protection measures and active protection measures.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

This training is aimed at security personnel performing PFSO duties in the port or its facilities in ports in SAFE PORT Project eligible countries:

  • Côte d’Ivoire (3), Cape Verde (2), Gambia (2), Guinea (2), Guinea-Bissau (2), Liberia (2), Nigeria (2), Sierra Leone (2), Mauritania (2), Gabon (2), Mozambique (2) and Angola (2) ;
  • AGPAOC (1)

A total of 25 participants.
