Handling of dangerous goods level 1

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF TRAINING CONTENT

The training will cover the following points:

  • Hydrocarbon behavior ;
  • Crisis management tools;
  • Marine pollution response techniques on the water;
  • Coastal marine pollution response techniques.

 

Expected results :

At the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:

  • Deploy floating booms;
  • Master techniques for dispersing all types of pollution in harbors;
  • Identify effective marine pollution response equipment;
  • Improve procedures and plans and plans to combat oil pollution in ports and on the coast.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

This training is aimed at personnel in charge of pollution prevention and/or response in ports in countries eligible for the SAFE PORT Project:

  • Côte d’Ivoire (2), Cape Verde (2), Gambia (2), Guinea (2), Guinea-Bissau (2), Liberia (2), Nigeria (2), Sierra Leone (2), Mauritania (2), Gabon (2), Mozambique (2) and Angola (2) ;
  • AGPAOC (1)

A total of 25 participants.
