GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF TRAINING CONTENT
The training will cover the following points:
IMDG code;
IMSBC Code;
IGC Code;
Port police regulations;
Visit to the Port of Abidjan’s dangerous goods storage and handling site.
Expected results :
At the end of the seminar, participants will be able to :
Know dangerous goods, their classification and the risks associated with them;
Implement international and national regulations governing the transport of hazardous materials;
Improve and participate in the implementation of emergency plans in the event of a major accident involving hazardous materials;
Master operations related to the management of hazardous goods;
Monitor compliance by ships and all concerned with the requirements for the transport and handling of dangerous goods.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
This training is organized for Port Officers/staff in charge of dangerous goods management in the ports of SAFE PORT Project eligible countries:
Côte d’Ivoire (2), Cape Verde (2), Gambia (2), Guinea (2), Guinea-Bissau (2), Liberia (2), Nigeria (2), Sierra Leone (2), Mauritania (2), Gabon (2), Mozambique (2) and Angola (2);
